A well-proportioned dining table in the Arts and Crafts style, dated 1942 and stamped to the underside. Given the period and quality, it was likely commissioned for the Ministry of Defence during the Second World War.
The top is crafted from quarter-sawn oak with a neatly chamfered edge, showcasing the timber’s beautiful grain. It rests on a sleek pair of arched trestle legs, joined by a stretcher and secured with exposed pegs at each end.
A finely made piece with excellent design and balanced proportions.
