Jean Austruy (1910–2012) – Cyan Blue Ceramic Vase
Elegant ceramic vase by French ceramist Jean Austruy, featuring intertwined loop handles and a vibrant cyan blue glaze. Signed on the base. Excellent condition with no chips.
Austruy, initially a teacher of drawing and modeling in Grenoble, turned to utilitarian ceramics after WWII, producing refined tableware and lighting in his Saint-Marcellin workshop. His innovative work was regularly exhibited at the Salon des Ateliers d'Art in Paris. After retiring in 1990, he focused on animal sculptures in ceramic and bronze.
