About Us

Stowaway was created in 2015 by Sophie and Me (Sam). Back then we lived in a little warehouse in Tottenham, North London. We were both looking for a change in direction.

I came from a family of dealers and had a history in selling militaria as well as marine antiques, I had recently started buying a lot more on the continent and wanted to start buying furniture. Sophie had been in the fashion world and had been a buyer for a few big names in the industry.

2015 we took our first trip over to a Brocante in France, instead of heading up on deck we stowed away in the van. Later in the trip we agreed Stowaway would be a good name for our new venture.
