A beautifully crafted lidded box in Disko metal, featuring a delicately poised deer atop the lid. Designed and made by Just Andersen in Denmark circa 1930, it bears the distinctive 'Just' maker’s mark stamped on the base. Disko metal is a proprietary alloy invented by Andersen, named after Disko Bay in Greenland, and known for its soft, silvery patina and sculptural quality. A fine example of early 20th-century Scandinavian design.
