An early 20th century Thebes stool in the Egyptian Revival style, attributed to Liberty & Co. Made from light oak, it has a concave slatted seat, turned legs and delicate triangular spindle stretchers.
The stool has had a recent professional repair, with two supporting rails added to the underside. This is visible in the photographs and has left the stool sturdy and strong for use. A lovely example of the simple, distinctive form of the Thebes stool.
