Original model 60 stool designed by Alvar Aalto and produced by Finmar.
A nice honest example in good solid condition dating from the 50's. Some marks on the top. It also has some wood wormholes on a couple of the legs, which has been thoroughly treated.
Original retailers metal plaque on the underside. Finmar label no longer present, probably removed by the retailer.
H.G Dunn & Son. They were an established furniture retailer that was later taken over by Heals of London. In the 1930s the firm was being run by Edward Dunn, whose son, Geoffrey, was interested in, and promoted modern design.
