Alvar Aalto Type 66 Chairs
A set of four Type 66 chairs, designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in the 1930s.
Made from moulded birch, the chairs feature Aalto’s distinctive L-leg construction and gently curved backrests, giving them a simple, functional elegance.
A beautifully cohesive set with a warm patina.
These chairs have had a life and show some marks and chips, particularly to the backrests of a couple of chairs. We have included plenty of photographs to show their condition clearly. They remain solid, sturdy and fully usable.
