A superb pair of early 20th-century Austrian bedside cabinets, crafted from solid limed oak with their original blue-stained finish. The colour has beautifully faded over time to a soft blue-grey, revealing the natural grain of the oak and developing a wonderful patina.
The original brass hardware features characteristic squared forms and linear detailing associated with Austrian Secession design. Both cabinets retain their original Carrera marble tops, in good condition.
The dovetailed drawers run smoothly and the cabinet doors close securely with a satisfying click. A beautifully aged and highly decorative pair, full of original character and detail.
